The Pickaxe is most defiantly the most important tool in the game. Its used to mine for different ores and material like Coal and Iron. The material the pickaxe is made of not only determines the durability of it but also the speed you can mine blocks and what you can mine gold being the fastest pickaxe. Only a Diamond pickaxe can mine Obsidian, Wooden pickaxes can’t mine Iron ore, Gold, Diamond and Redstone and Stone pickaxes can mine Iron Ore, but also can not mine Gold, Diamond and Redstone.
